Updating our storage devices

CD-ROM disks are very common and conform to a standard. They are removable and they can hold from 640MB to 750 MB. They are also cheap to make. However, they are usually read - only and rewritable. so you can change the information on them. They are also slow compared to hard disks.

You need a Usb port.
They have different capacities from 128 Mb to 4 Gb.
They are very easy to carry and they are very faster. You can store all kind of files and folders.
You can also store programs, also you can install in another computer or in the pen drive itself.
They are becaming cheaper, and cheaoer day by day-Nowdays you can get a 2 gb pendrive fot less than 20€.

They are two different types of DVD:

DVD- ROM RD (read only memory) capacity from 2gb to 8 gb
DVD – ROM RW (rewriteable)_The capacity is 4,7, but you can only usea 4,3 GbThe are also double layer Cds and DVDs.

We need a new printer

Claire
I need to print in colour, but I don’t mind if it is not fast. What kind of printer should I buy?

-I think you should buy an inkjet printer, because this is cheaper than a laser printer and it can print in colour.

Marshall
I need to print really fast. I’m not going to use colour or images. Shall I buy an inkjet printer?

-I think you shouldn't buy an inkjet printer, because the laser printer is the fastest and it is cheaper than a mono laser printer.
